Investors of HDFC Mutual Fund's closed-end scheme “HDFC Debt Fund for Cancer Cure” receive the principal amount back at the end of the scheme's tenure of 3 years and the return is donated to the Indian Cancer Society's Cancer Cure Fund. ICS uses this to fund to sanction Rs 3 lakh to Rs 4 lakh per patient towards treatment.
